Organisational Change

Applying SDi to organisations: Practitioner Training

Many people find SDi interesting, even inspiring.  It is obvious how much sense it makes of human behaviour, social change and organisational dynamics.

This training takes SDi to the next level, enabling participants to make practical use of the theory by showing how the model delivers a comprehensive approach to the creation of second-tier functionality in organisations.

In three days, we will teach you:-

  • How to look at both the “as is” and the “to be” of the organisation
  • The view of the organisation through the Integral 4-quadrant lens
  • To detect  if the necessary conditions for change are present
  • The understanding of leadership – who should lead whom to do what, using what tools?
  • To differentiate between the Operational processes, the Support systems and the Dynamic Steering (“X, Y and Z” templates) in the organisation
  • What is required to reconstruct each of these
  • How to use SDi Values to map individuals to roles and functions within the templates
  • Who should communicate what to whom, using what channels in what way?
  • An overview of leadership development – what are the demands on the new leaders and how do they develop the emotional and spiritual intelligence that they need

Practitioners will need to be able to develop the sustainability and relevance of organisations, the new cultures for our complex futures.  This is the first of our trainings for the life conditions in a 2nd Tier world, helping people to see:-

  • What kind of organisation do you need to be?
  • What kind of leader are you meant to be?
  • What kind of person does your organisation need you to be?

SDi provides a route-map.  Along the way, depending on where we are in the journey, there are other toolkits that are of use and we will introduce these and explain where they fit.  Among these are Polarity Management, Adizes Lifecycle, U-theory, World Café and Open Space, Holacracy, Resonant Leadership and Spiritual Intelligence.

Significant understanding of the Spiral Dynamics model will be required in order to benefit from this training.   If you do not already have SDi Level 1 certification please contact us for further details before booking.    To receive practitioner certification, you will have to complete an SDi Fundamentals Level 1 within twelve months.

The next open training will be in Spring 2012.   The training will be from 10 am until approximately 5pm on day 1, from 9am until 5pm on day 2 and from 9am to 4pm on day 3.

Standard cost of the training is £795, which includes accomodation and meals.    Special offers and discount options are available.  Please contact jon@humanemergence.org.uk for details.
